MUSIC BACKGROUND
CP a.k.a Cpwaa real name Ilunga Khalifa started his music career when he was at age of 14 by imitating and singing on American Rap Artists songs which later served as his inspiration. He became serious with Music after joining college in 2003, team up with his old friend, and released their first album called NAFASI NYINGINE (Another Chance). After graduating, with a degree in IT 2006 Cpwaa went solo and thus when his musical career began to grow.
His first hit, which changed the direction of Tanzanian’s young generation Music ( Bongoflava) was PWAA Part 1 first local Crunk music,( South U.S.A beats blended with local style and content). Cpwaa was named the King of Bongo Crunk after the follow up PWAA PART 2. He didn’t stop there Cpwaa’s vision was to take BongoFlava to the international level, soon after he completed his CCNA ( Cisco Certified Network Associate) and Redhart /Linux Certified Technician courses at University of Dar-es-alaam end of 2008 then he came with another hit song “PROBLEM” which was on the top of many East African TV and Radio Stations with over 6 weeks on a top position in 2009 and won the Best video of the year in 2010 Kilimanjaro Tanzania Music awards . In September 2010 he released the part 3 of Pwaa song known as “So Pwaa” which is getting much airtime on MTVBase, Channel O and local stations.Cpwaa now has completed his first album titled “Pwaa The Album” which is under manufacturing by Umoja distributers and its expected to be in the market before end of April 2011.
Currently he has a new hit called ACTION featuring Ms. Triniti, Dully Sykes and Mangwear. The song and video won Cpwaa 2 awards this year on the Kilimanjaro Tanzania Music Awards (Best Ragga/dancehall song and Best Video of the year)
ACHIEVEMENTS:
Though he has spent most of his earlier years studying but he has achieved some key roles in his music career including: -
1999 Won the Best Rapper title for Southern Zone Tanzania, 2005 Best college Artist
2010 XXL Teen awards (Problem video in 3 nominations)
2010 Role Model and Artist for 2010 elections campaign.

Cpwaa has been performing from small street bashes, Basket Ball bonanza, High School & College Bashes and bigger concerts such as FIESTA 2003-2009 (Tanzania number one music festival), LIKIZO TYME 2006-2008 (Holiday season festival), MUSICMADAY 2007. Cpwaa has been one of the best performers on the same stage with:
